The Dripper RDA is exactly what you think it is: a rebuildable dripper. This is a very basic design, perfect for someone who wants to get into rebuilding. There's a 1 positive and 1 ground post, ideal for single-coil builds. Airflow has been improved over past RDAs, in that the airflow comes in from a hole in the side, instead of at the bottom of the deck. This also means reduced leaking. The top cap also features an integrated mouthpiece for a uniform look. The Dripper comes with a pre-made 1.8-ohm coil, but really shines when rebuilt with your own wick and wire.
- Good for Mouth-to-Lung Review by Gordon
I just received this and put my first build in this morning, so I can't speak of long-term use, but here are my first impressions. Running a 28 gauge Kanthal microcoil (about 1.6 Ohms) and cotton wick. Vapor production is good, flavor is very good. A little bit more (perhaps) than my Kayfun/Russians. A little fiddly getting the coil installed so that it doesn't touch the top bell, and as someone else mentioned the little knurled screws are somewhat of a pain to use. Being all metal, the top bell can get a little warm with constant use. With that said, I don't know if you could find a nice, simple little dripper for the same amount of money that could be any better.
I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it for other people that want to try a single-coil RDA. (Posted on 1/17/2016)
- Awesome for the price Review by AlexMcG
As the other reviews have said, the air hole is tiny, but easy to enlarge. The thing itself is super tiny—kinda cute, actually. it's way smaller than I expected, which could make building harder on it, but I didn't have much trouble. The only reason I'm taking off a star is that the built-in drip tip and lack of a juice well make it so that you have to take the whole top off to re-juice it, and you'll have to do it fairly frequently.
The post holes are fairly small too, so there's no getting a complex coil design in this thing, not that there would be room for one anyhow.
One unexpected plus is that it's about the same diameter as an eGo battery I have, and the finishes match so well that I go a beauty ring to fill the gap and the whole shebang is a compact, slick-looking silver tube. Very minimalist and, well, slick (saying it again, because that's exactly how it looks).
For six bucks, it's totally worth it, but it's also a gateway RDA. Now I need more and more. (Posted on 9/23/2015)
